French Tourist Found Safe in North Sumatra SAR Operation

Inp.polri.go.id - Medan.  A joint Search and Rescue (SAR) mission rescued a French tourist who went missing at Sipiso-piso Hill in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, on Sunday (7/4/20240). The victim, identified as Andrea Zoe (52), was found injured but safe.  She was evacuated to the hill's summit using a stretcher and then transferred to Kabanjahe Regional General Hospital for treatment. Mustari, theHead of Basarnas Medan, reported that the collaborative effort included the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Medan, Tiga Panah Police Office, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Karo, and locals. They deployed a team of six rescuers equipped with evacuation and mountaineering gear since Saturday. Zoe disappeared while hiking with her daughter, Andreo Artenais, who reported an incident of harassment by an unidentified individual, according to antaranews.com. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
