The perpetrator is known to have the initials FR alias Syukur (25 years old), a resident of Libuo Village, Dungingi District, Gorontalo City. The Director of the General Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gorontalo Police, Commisioner Nur Santiko explained that the arrest began with a report from the community who said that he acted as a player and collector of toto gambling. “After receiving the report, the Gorontalo Police Mobile Investigation Team, led by Brigadier Ismail Hubu, went straight to the location of the perpetrator. At the location, the Team found that the perpetrator was receiving a note or a pair of numbers from the installer along with the money,” explained the Gorontalo Police Director of General Crime Investigation. When the perpetrator and the evidence were secured, FR did not retaliate and he admitted to the crime he had committed. "Evidence that was successfully secured from the perpetrators area unit of Xiaomi 6x black cellphone (used to install online lottery numbers), Rp350,000 cash and a small note paper containing pairs of lottery numbers," concluded the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Gorontalo Police.
