Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government has set a target to reduce logistics costs from 14.29% to 8% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to boost economic efficiency and competitiveness.

The strategy for 2024-2045 includes digital transformation of logistics services, reducing transportation costs, optimizing sea tolls, enhancing connectivity, and improving inter-regional accessibility, said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi on Thursday (23/7/2024)..

"These efforts are aimed at significantly lowering logistics costs and improving national logistics efficiency," he said, as reported by antaranews.com

Minister Budi Karya noted that the Logistic Performance Index (LPI) for Indonesia is showing positive growth, catching up with the Philippines.

He highlighted the importance of National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE) implementation, as mandated by Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2020, which contributes to better service efficiency at ports and airports.
