Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government launched simultaneous market operations at 4,000 locations nationwide to stabilize food prices ahead of Ramadan.
“Today’s market operations will cover 4,000 locations, focusing on essential goods that could drive inflation,” said Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Lodewijk F. Paulus, on Monday (24/2/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The operations aim to keep food prices stable and curb hoarding practices. Key commodities monitored include beef, chicken, chili, and cooking oil.
Regular market inspections will be done to make sure prices remain within the government’s highest retail price (HET) limits.
