inp.polri.go.id -  Jakarta. Vice Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Ahmad Riza Patria is of the view that campuses and mass media must have fostered villages in order to accelerate the development of villages in the country.

"In this position, I invite all parties, including campuses, to join in building villages. Every campus has to be able to foster a village, not only those with agricultural or animal husbandry majors, but also all fields of science," explained Ahmad Riza on Friday (2/7/2025).

The statement was conveyed after Riza revealed one of his party’s future strategies to build villages sustainably through multi-party collaboration, starting from cooperation between the government, academics, the business world, communities, media, and philanthropy from officials or other figures.

Riza noted that one of the campuses or universities that has collaborated with the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration to accelerate village development is the University of Indonesia (UI).

"During the MoU with the UI Chancellor yesterday, I even encouraged the Russian Literature Department to also foster a village," said Riza.

Riza also said that villages are an ideal place for students to develop skills, enrich their experiences, and apply the knowledge they gain in college.

In addition to campuses, Riza also invites the mass media to contribute in fostering villages.
