Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin says the education about arbovirus or virus transmitted from insect bites is important for housewives.

“If the husband is sick, usually those who treated them are their wives. If the children are sick, the family doctor is usually the wife. If the pets are sick, usually who treats them are the wife, not the husband,” said Minister Budi on Monday (4/22/2024).

Budi says that Indonesia has 1.5 million integrated service post cadres that are scattered around 85,000 villages. They have the knowledge of arbovirus and hope the knowledge would be passed onto the 80 millions of housewives.

The education, said Minister Budi, could also be given through social media which is often accessed by people.

Education has become the most vital thing in combating arbovirus as with education, people could adapt and adopt healthier lifestyles.
