Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Hermono has noted a significant level of enthusiasm among Indonesian citizens residing in Kuala Lumpur to cast their votes in the election.
"I've observed considerable enthusiasm, and the polling officials are quite spirited," he said on Sunday (11/2/2024).
Highlighting the significance of the Indonesian elections in Kuala Lumpur, Ambassador Hermono emphasized the need for all election officials to be fully prepared to assist Indonesian citizens exercising their voting rights, antaranews.com reported.
He also asserted the importance of readiness during the vote counting process, as many individuals typically wish to witness the tallying firsthand.
"Attention will be focused on the World Trade Center during the counting process. We hope for a smooth day today and an even smoother one on February 14th," the Ambassador added.
Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU), Hasyim Asy'ari, announced that vote counting for Polling Stations and Mobile Ballot Box methods would take place on 14 February 2024 while the counting for postal voting will occur between 15 to 22 February 2024.
