Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  The Damai Cartenz Task Force has identified five members of the armed criminal group (KKB) responsible for the murder of Glen Malcolm Conning, a New Zealand pilot, in Alama District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua on 5 August 2024.

Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, the Damai Cartenz Task Force Head of Operations, announced on Wednesday (14/8/2024) the identities of the suspects, who are based in Yuguru, Nduga Regency.

The suspects are identified as Perintakola Lokbere alias Malas Gwijangge (20), Jeri Wandikbo (50), Irisim Gwijangge (20), Jaka Gwijangge (15), and Analuk Amisim (36), all from Geselma Village, Nduga.

The suspects have been listed on the Most Wanted Persons (DPO) list for law enforcement action, according to antaranews.com.

The investigation suggested that the kidnapping and shooting, which led to pilot Conning's death, were carried out by the KKB faction led by Perek Jelas Kogoya. Evidence from the crime scene, including weapon drawings and Free Papua flags, supported the finding.

The KKB attempted to destroy an IWN MD.500 ER PK helicopter, resulting in total damage to the aircraft.
