inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Regional Police emphasized their commitment in their stern action against the manufacture and spread of illegal firearms.

Previously, the police have uncovered the location of homemade firearms manufacturer in Karang Endah Village, Terbanggi Besar District, Central Lampung.

The Head of Lampung Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Umi Fadilah astutik explains that the uncovering is part of police effort and commitment in preventing the spread of homemade firearms that could endanger the public.

“We continue our strong commitment in acting against all kinds of criminal actions involving illegal firearms,” says Umi quoted from RRI on Sunday (12/29/2024).

In her statement, she stated that the illegal firearm manufacture in Karang Endah Village was first revealed thanks to the report of the public.

Following the report, police immediately carried out an investigation and found the place.

“At the location, we found several tools such as bench drill, hand drill, and steel cutting tools, as well as one assembled revolver type firearm," she explained.

In addition to the case uncovering, police appealed to the public to not get involved with the activities of illegal firearm manufacturing and underscored the importance of public role in monitoring the situation in their respective neighborhoods.

Police parties emphasized that they will continue to monitor and take stern action against all kinds of violations.
