Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Directorate General of Immigration prevented Marimutu Sinivasan, a Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) obligor, at the Entikong Border Post, West Kalimantan, as he tried to flee to Kuching, Malaysia.

Marimutu was on a watchlist requested by the Ministry of Finance due to unpaid state debts.

“We handed him over to the Ministry of Finance's Directorate General of State Assets. It relates to a civil matter via the BLBI Task Force,” said Immigration Director General Silmy Karim on Monday (9/9/2024)..

He credited the integrated immigration system, which flagged Marimutu’s status. The system can also identify Interpol-listed individuals.

Entikong Immigration Head Henry Simatupang explained that officers stopped Marimutu’s vehicle on Sunday. When his passport was scanned, it was flagged as restricted. 

Marimutu was further questioned, and his passport was confiscated.
