"In international politics, we support each other; we share the same stance. On the Palestinian issue, as on the Ukrainian issue, we want a swift ceasefire," President Prabowo stated on Thursday (10/23/2025).

President Prabowo stated that both countries value the importance of real peace and a just political solution, particularly through a two-state solution approach to resolving the conflict in the Middle East.

"We want real peace in moving towards a political solution, namely a two-state solution," said President Prabowo.

Meanwhile, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva emphasized that Indonesia and Brazil share a commitment to peace, sustainable development, and a more just world order.

He stated that both countries reject the genocide in Gaza and Palestine and support the two-state solution as the only path to peace in the region.

Furthermore, President Lula also highlighted the need for comprehensive reform of the UN Security Council to address the lack of representation and deadlock in global decision-making.

"Only comprehensive reform of the UN Security Council can address the current lack of representation and deadlock," said President Lula.
