Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati higlighted the urgency of establishing a fair, effective, and stable international tax system during the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in South Africa.
“I stressed the need for a fair global tax system—not just fiscally, but to ensure global equity and inclusive growth,” she said via her official Instagram account, @smindrawati, on Friday (18/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Minister argued that developing nations deserve equal rights in cross-border economic activities.
Indonesia supports the Two-Pillar Solution and has started its implementation, but “our work is far from over,” she noted.
Minister Sri Mulyani also stressed the vital roles of the IMF, World Bank, and UN in helping countries strengthen fiscal sovereignty. She reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to open, mutual cooperation in trade and investment to create jobs and foster shared prosperity.
