Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The World Police and Fire Games 2023, a prestigious sports championship exclusively for police officers and firefighters, is scheduled to take place in Winnipeg, Canada, from July 28 to August 6, 2023. Indonesia is proudly represented in this event, with three skilled athletes making their way to the championship.

Guiding the Indonesian contingent is Police Superintendent Ockben Sinaga, who is currently stationed in INP Headquarters, accompanied by Police Second Brigadier Teuku Tegar Abadi and Police Senior Brigadier Dechan.

Police Superintendent Ockben Sinaga will participate in four events simultaneously, namely the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and high jump. Despite his age of 54, he will strive in the master category, leveraging his vast experience. The two junior athletes, on the other hand, will compete in the open category, fueled by their youthful vigor and determination.

"There are distinct age categories in the World Police and Fire Games, spanning from 18 to 65 years old. If I compete against the younger ones, I will definitely lose," he said, as quoted from liputan6.com on Monday (22/5/2023).

"However, I remain cautious against athletes from Brazil and the United States, who have showcased exceptional prowess in the long jump event," he concluded.
