Inp.polri.go.id - Den Haag. Indonesia continues to participate in global forums that promote responsible development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the military, Governor of National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas ) Andi Widjajanto said in a closing session of the Responsible Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain (RAEIM) conference in Den Haag, the Netherlands (2/17/23).
Due to the consequences of the use of AI in the military, Indonesia expected to encourage the dialogue among all parties to discuss the ethical framework, he said.
With the rapid development of AI, the governor warned that the revolution in military affairs may introduce a new weapon that ensures victory or create a new platform that makes war unattainable and outdated.
He highlighted the possible consequences of the development of AI in the military such as its accessibility for various parties, including terrorist groups.
Attended by participants from 70 countries, the conference that was held on February 15-16 resulted in the signing of a Call to Action by 61 nations, including Indonesia, China, and the United States.
