Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The spokesperson of Religion Ministry Sunanto says that the papal visit of Pope Francis shows the world the harmony of religious community in Indonesia.
"Religious moderation is important to show the people of Indonesia and the world that religious harmony in Indonesia is guaranteed and has been implemented," said spokesperson Sunanto on Monday (9/2/2024).
The leader of World Catholics Church, Pope Francis will undertake an apostolic journey to Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, and Singapore on September 3rd-13th, 2024.
Indonesia will be the first country in Pope Francis' series of visits to the Asia Pacific region, namely on 3-6 September 2024.
Indonesia, says Sunanto, will show Pope Francis the religious moderation that has been built so far. This will also voice harmony between religious communities to the international world.
"Religious moderation from across religions will definitely be conveyed," said Spokesperson Sunanto.
