Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. Indonesia ready to become the vital partner for Tanzania and Zanzibar as they have wide experiences in business management, marine tourism, and marine ecosystem conservation.

This was conveyed by the Indonesian Republic President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo when holding a bilateral meeting with Zanzibar Hussein Ali Mwinyi at Casanlanca Room in Mulia Nusa Dua Hotel, Bali, on Monday (9/2/2024).

"Welcome to Indonesia and thank you for your attendance President Hussein. I am here to relay our commitment to strengthen economic cooperation with Zanzibar," says President Jokowi.

Jokowi also highlights the cooperation potentials in blue economy sector. According to him, Indonesia ready to be the core partner for Tanzania and Zanzibar for their vast experience in business management, marine tourism, and marine ecosystem conservation.

The Memorandum of Understanding about blue economy with Tanzania also has been signed as Jokowi hopes the signing would be expanded to Zanzibar.

On the other hand, Jokowi also highlights the importance of cooperation in tourism and Indonesia ready to share their experiences in the promotion and management of environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism.

"Currently the MoU of tourism collaboration with Tanzania and Zanzibar is discussed internally, and we hope this cooperation can strengthen cultural and economic relations of the two states," says the President.

Lastly, President Jokowi reaffirms their readines to work in Zanzibar development programs. He says that the collaboration will be adjusted to Zanzibar needs through Indonesia Aid mechanism.
