Bogor: National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attends the peak event of 20 years of service for the country of the 2001 Indonesian Military Police alumni or Dwipa Arya, which held mass vaccination activities, providing social assistance, construction and renovation of eleven places of worship at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, Java West, Tuesday (12/28). Sigit also appreciated the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri), who were united in building and renovating 11 places of worship. According to him, this proves the two institutions' commitment to maintaining the diversity and religious freedom of the Indonesian people. "This is one of the things we need to emulate. That, of course, the National Armed Forces and National Police are always committed to maintaining diversity in Indonesia," said Sigit The construction and renovation of places of worship were carried out in seven mosques, one prayer room, one temple, one church and one Islamic boarding school. Sigit added that this is also a manifestation of the National Armed Forces and National Police standing above all groups. So this is a form of the National Armed Forces and National Police standing to protect and above all groups that must be guarded and secured, said the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer. Maintaining freedom of religion, said Sigit, is a mandate of the ideology of Pancasila and the constitution of the 1945 Constitution as referred to in Article 28 and Article 29. Guaranteeing freedom of religion is also part of recognizing Human Rights (HAM) in Indonesia. "And this is, of course, obligatory for us, especially the National Armed Forces and National Police, to protect the freedom to embrace religion and worship according to their beliefs," said Sigit. Sigit admitted that he received disturbances to people who wanted to carry out worship activities in one area. He asked that something like this would not happen again. The government, said Sigit, together with the TNI and Polri, must provide solutions if a disturbance occurs. In addition, it must ensure that all religious communities in Indonesia can be allowed to worship according to their respective beliefs. "I remind you, any religion that is recognized, we must protect it. So when they perform worship, we National Armed Forces and National Police and the Government are obliged to provide protection. Because it is part of the constitutional mandate," said Sigit. On this occasion, Sigit also reminded all his staff that one of the strengths of the Indonesian nation is being able to protect, maintain and guarantee the existing diversity. It can also be the capital to go to Indonesia Gold in 2045. "If we can maintain unity and integrity, economic growth, superior human resources, everything can work if we can maintain the stability and security of the unity," explained Sigit. Therefore, Sigit stressed that unity must be maintained and maintained because it is the national goal of the Indonesian nation. Therefore, Sigit emphasized that the National Armed Forces and National Police ranks should not be easily divided to protect religious freedom. "Because our country consists of various ethnic groups, religions, languages and ethnicities. Furthermore, of course, that is a strength that we must maintain," said Sigit. Unity and unity, said Sigit, can already be proven from the handling and control of the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, the growth rate of the coronavirus is much better. All of that, said Sigit, thanks to the synergy and cooperation from all elements of Indonesian society. In the difficult times of the current Covid-19 Pandemic, according to Sigit, all heavy burdens will be lightened if the Government, the National Armed Forces, the National Police and elements of society join hands and unite. "And this can be seen in our difficult times when we are facing the Covid-19 Pandemic, all elements of society are united. National Armed Forces and National Police, Regional Government, Central Government, community, volunteers unite to move together to face Covid-19. Alhamdulillah, last July, we faced a very high number of Covid-19. A second wave situation resulted in many residents and our families being hospitalized. Nevertheless, today we can control the numbers. The positivity rate is below 1," close Sigit
