Inp.polri.go.id - Labuan Bajo. Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), invited the delegates of the 17th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting On Transnational Crime (AMMTC) +3 to visit Komodo National Park in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The Chief of INP, alongside the AMMTC delegates, actively engaged in a tree planting initiative, emphasizing their commitment to nurturing and conserving the environment. This environmentally-conscious endeavor, led by the Chief of INP in collaboration with the AMMTC delegates, reverberated across the nation through synchronized tree planting activities undertaken by all provincial police units in Indonesia. Explaining the tree planting initiative, he stated, "The reforestation activity is being carried out with the participation of all delegates of the 17th AMMTC." Earlier, as part of their green commitment, the INP had conducted a tree planting campaign on August 18, 2023, where a total of 45.483 trees were planted across Indonesia under the theme "INP Preserves the Nation, Early Reforestation." Today's collective tree planting activity has earned the INP a record in the Indonesia Museum of Records (MURI) for the most simultaneous and extensive tree planting. Aside from tree planting, the AMMTC delegates also enjoyed the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo and gained insights into the habitat of Komodo dragons on Rinca Island. Notably, Komodo National Park has been designated one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature by the New 7 Wonders Foundation, adding to its allure. (ay/hn/nm)
