The Head of Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Inspector General Sandi Nugroho concluded a public speaking training program for all INP spokespersons on Wednesday (17/5/23). The training aimed to equip INP spokespersons with the necessary skills to effectively handle various crises that may arise.

During his speech, he said that crisis can arise at any time and anywhere, therefore the ability to communicate effectively through public speaking is critical for the spokespersons.

"Being the front line in dealing with the media, the division plays a vital role in possessing public speaking skills, especially during times of crisis. This ensures that the messages conveyed are solutions and crisis mitigators rather than fueling further crises and new problems," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of proactive engagement by INP spokespersons in addressing various issues that may potentially disrupt public order and security. It is expected that the spokespersons stay updated with the latest information trends.

"The Public Relations Division is a reflection of INP. We act as the eyes, ears, and voice of the institution," he expressed.
