Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan invited President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to travel to Tanzania as a tourist after he completed his presidential term later this year. "After you retire, I hope you can travel to Tanzania as a tourist to visit our tourist attraction sites yourself," she said during her visit at the Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java on Thursday (25/1/2024). President Samia was also grateful for the opportunity to enhance extraordinary relations for the progress of Indonesia and Tanzania. President Jokowi had visited Tanzania for the first time as a president in August 2023. In addition to Tanzania, Jokowi also visited Kenya, Mozambique, and South Africa. Tanzania has also opened its embassy in Jakarta as a commitment between the two countries to continue strengthening cooperation with Indonesia. During the meeting at the Bogor Presidential Palace, the two leaders discussed several collaborations to strengthen the relationship between their countries, including cooperation on trade, investment, and green energy sectors. They also shared the same perception of supporting the resistance of the Palestinian people. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
