Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) enhanced security measures in preparation for the visit of the Catholic Church's leader, Pope Francis, to Jakarta, including countering potential cyber threats.
“We have prepared for various scenarios, including cyber threats, in collaboration with the TNI,” said the INP Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Commander, Commissioner General Imam Widodo, on Monday (2/9/2024), referring to the Indonesian Military.
He hoped that Pope Francis' visit would proceed safely and smoothly, noting that successful security efforts during the visit would positively reflect on Indonesia’s reputation.
Chief Imam detailed that upon arrival in Indonesia, Pope Francis will visit the Vatican Embassy on Jalan East Medan Merdeka, followed by stops at the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, Istiqlal Mosque, and finally, he will conduct a mass at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
