Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Task Force for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes (Satgas TPPO), established under the leadership of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), continues its vigorous efforts to combat these criminals. During the period from June 5th to July 5th, 203, the operations successfully resulted in the rescue of 2.002 victims.

Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of the Public Affairs Bureau (Karopenmas) of the INP Public Relations Division, provided insights into the rescue operation, which was initiated following 624 reports.

"Based on these reports, we took prompt action and arrested 724 suspects," he said on Thursday (7/6/23).

He further revealed that the majority of the suspects employed the strategy of recruiting legal Migrant Workers (PMI)/Domestic Helpers (PRT), which accounted for 437 cases. Additionally, there were 9 cases involving fishermen (ABK), 179 cases of prostitution (PSK), and 43 cases of child exploitation.

He conveyed a crucial message from the Chief of INP, urging the public to exercise caution and not be easily swayed by offers of high-paying jobs, both within the country and abroad. The Chief of INP, he added, also emphasized the importance of verifying the legitimacy of manpower recruitment agencies to ensure that individuals receive their rightful social protection, well-being, and legal support.
