Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Inspector General Sandi Nugroho delivered essential guidance during the workshop on Media Management in preparation for the 2024 Election and the Enhancement of Integrated Protection System Encrypted S1 (IPSE-S1) Operator Skills on Thursday (25/5/23).

During his address, Kadivhumas emphasized the crucial need for all members of the Indonesian National Police and their families to actively engage with the digital world due to the evolving landscape of social media. He highlighted that any issues involving police personnel or their families in the digital realm would significantly impact the reputation of the institution.

He also stressed the importance of instilling a unified mindset among all members of the INP when performing their public relations duties. By doing so, they would collectively prioritize the security and order in the digital world, while accentuating the positive aspects of the police force.

"If there are family members facing problems, all police officers will be implicated. Even if it's the child who has issues, the parents will face consequences. Digital footprints exist, and everything will come to light. So, if everyone embraces their public relations function, it's not about covering up the negative news, but there must still be good news about the police force that should not be concealed," he explained.

He stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of prominent issues that can potentially disrupt public order and security, particularly during the political year. One of the vulnerabilities in the upcoming 2024 Election is the multitude of threats present in the digital world. In light of this, he urged the need to inundate the media with positive content

"Flood the media with positive content that serves as a cooling system and can prevent social polarization," he concluded.
