Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) has accepted two personnel with disabilities who passed the selection process through the School of Police Inspectors for Bachelor's Degree Graduates (SIPSS) recruitment pathway for the year 2024. Assistant to the INP Chief of Police for Human Resources, Inspector General Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, said  that out of 226 participants who passed the initial stages of the SIPSS selection, three of them were individuals with disabilities. "Out of the three participants who took the central test, two have progressed until now," he said on Sunday (25/2/2024). The two personnel with disabilities have backgrounds in medical and educational sciences with competencies in the field of technology and information. They achieved excellent results up to the final stage, not falling behind regular participants, , antaranews.com reported. The assigned roles for these disabled personnel will be one as a doctor and the other as an operator in the field of information technology. General Dedi said  that all participants who passed the final stage of the Polri SIPSS recruitment, including those with disabilities, will commence their education on 5 March2024. "In this stage, disabled and regular students are treated equally,"he said. The recruitment of INP personnel from the disabled community is part of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo's program, which promotes inclusive policies by opening SIPSS recruitment for people with disabilities. In 2023, INP welcomed one female police officer with disabilities, a D3 graduate in company management, who serves as an archivist at the South Sumatra Regional Police. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
