Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, the Human Resources Assistant to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, shared his book entitled 'Radicalism, Terrorism, and Deradicalization in Indonesia' to ambassadors in the Netherlands and Germany. Mohammad Dawam, a member of the Indonesian National Police Commission (Kompolnas), conveyed the book to the ambassadors during his recent official visits to monitor the preparations of the 2024 elections for Indonesian citizens abroad. "The book serves as a message of peace through diplomats to emphasize that the prevention and handling of terrorist crimes, radicalism, and deradicalization involve internalizing and implementing Pancasila in daily life," he said on Thursday (1/2/2024). Commissioner Dawam emphasized that the implementation of Pancasila values is crucial to preventing the development of terrorism and radicalism ideologies that needs to be explored globally.  Meanwhile, General Dedi said that the book recorded the hard work of the INP and related parties in managing terrorism.  "This book delves into terrorism and soft de-radicalization to enrich the reader's understanding," he said. General Dedi said intervention is needed to prevent the spread of radical ideologies.  One form of intervention is prevention through the development of local wisdom that counters radicalism and terrorism ideologies..
