Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Ribka Haluk, the Acting Governor of Central Papua, has called upon the local community, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, to embrace a peaceful coexistence, shun conflict, and join hands in supporting the government's efforts to rebuild the region.
"In a meeting held on Wednesday, we engaged with all stakeholders to discuss the resolution of the conflict in Intan Jaya," she said on Saturday (28/1/2024).
Acting Governor Ribka expressed her hope for a swift resolution to the conflict in Intan Jaya, urging local leaders, particularly in the affected region, to concentrate on rebuilding and improving the well-being of the community, antaranews.com reported.
She explained that the ongoing conflict had disrupted the security and stability of the area, impacting the local population.
"As a result of these issues, there have been disruptions in flights, and essential food supplies are diminishing," Acting Governor Ribka added.
During the meeting, she highlighted several agreed-upon points, all signed collectively, aiming to bring an end to the prolonged conflict.
