Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. With the highly anticipated international F1Powerboat racing event at Lake Toba in North Sumatra on 2-3 March 2024, participants began to flock to the venue. Racers touched down at Kualanamu Airport in Deli Serdang and Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Airport in North Tapanuli. "We're eager for the racers to relish their journey and create lasting memories in Indonesia. InJourney and all stakeholders are dedicated to orchestrating an exceptional F1Powerboat event, ensuring a competitive atmosphere for racers and an enjoyable spectacle for spectators," said Maya Watono, Director of Marketing and Tourism Programs at InJourney, on Saturday (24/2/2024). Among the early arrivals is Jonas Andersson, the reigning champion of the F1Powerboat UIM World Championship 2023 from Sweden. "It's exhilarating to be back. The venue, the competition, the people – everything is simply fantastic. Winning again would be incredible. It won't come easy, but I'm ready to give it my all," Andersson said. The 2024 F1Powerboat event is set to feature 18 international racers representing over 10 countries, marking the 300th race milestone. In addition to the high-octane racing, this year's program will encompass the Aquabike Jetski Indonesia Championship and the Solu Bolon dragon boat competition, celebrating local traditions and wisdom.
