Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Investment and Head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani announced that Indonesia's investment realization for the first half of 2024 has reached Rp829.9 trillion.
“As of the end of the first semester, we have achieved Rp829.9 trillion in investments,” he said on Tuesday (3/9/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com..
The amount represents 67% of the Strategic Plan target of Rp1,239 trillion and 50.3% of President Joko Widodo’s annual target of Rp1,650 trillion.
Investment is evenly split between Java and outside Java, with Rp416.2 trillion (50.2%) outside Java and Rp413.7 trillion (49.8%) within Java. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) stands at Rp421.7 trillion (50.8%), while Domestic Investment totals Rp408.2 trillion (49.2%).
These investments have created 1,225,042 jobs in the first half of 2024.
Minister Rosan is confident that the Rp1,650 trillion target will be met by the end of the year, with efforts focused on accelerating key programs in the remaining months.
