Jakarta Air Quality Getting Better While ASEAN Summit is Underway

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The air quality index for Jakarta shows promise as it keeps getting better during the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Monday (9/4/2023). According to the data from IQAir, the air quality for Monday, 4th of September 2023 in Jakarta around 08.00 WIB shows promise as it now stands at 114. Previously Jakarta was under bad pollution as people around the city can clearly the sky full of fog. According to IQAir data, the concentration level of PM2.5 in Jakarta is now at 41µg/m³ or equal to 8.2 times of World Health Organization (WHO) annual air quality guidelines. Although air quality is still bad, the decrease shows promise as ASEAN Summit is underway. The 43rd ASEAN Summit take place in Jakarta from 5th to 7th September. Government has prepared various measures to ensure the safety and smooth of the event ranging from traffic engineering measures and comprehensive measures on addressing the issue of air pollution in Jakarta.
