Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Health Agency is actively addressing stunting in its region through an active case-finding approach. "We are intensively making various efforts to enable early interventions, especially for children indicated to be stunted," stated Ani Ruspitawati, the Head of Jakarta Health Agency, on Friday (26/1/2024). Recognizing the severity of stunting, she highlighted it as a top priority for the Jakarta administration, aligning with President Joko Widodo's objective to reduce the stunting rate to 14 percent. "We conduct door-to-door visits to assess toddlers' nutritional status and implement stunting management through integrated health posts (posyandu)," she explained. She reported that specific interventions have successfully addressed 19.64% of stunted toddlers as of November 2023, involving supplementary feeding (PMT) for children under five. "Intervention means that as soon as a case is identified, we promptly provide supplementary feeding (PMT) for children under five," she explained. (ar/ndt/pr/nm)
