Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In response to recent youth violence incidents under the guise of charity in Jakarta, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Head of Public Relations at Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, revealed a concerning trend on Monday (8/4/2024).
Former students involved in clashes are now organizing charity events, known as takjil on the road (TOTR), targeting other students. This tactic aims to divert attention while perpetuating violence, he said.
Police have intensified patrols in neighborhoods to curb these clashes, taking a proactive approach.
Chief Ade said that police will file reports against involved students and summon their parents, ensuring schools are informed of their actions.
