The Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo appreciates the work of General Election Commission (KPU) and Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for completing the election vote recapitulation of 2024. “We should be grateful for the vote recapitulation process which has been completed by KPU last night. I truly respect and appreciate the process and hard work of KPU and Bawaslu in ensuring the process to go smoothly and on time,” said Jokowi during press conference on Thursday (3/21/2024). Previously, KPU has completed the 2024 Vote Recapitulation process that has been determined in the Plenary Meetings of National Vote Recapitulation Result of 2024 General Election on Wednesday (3/20/2024). The determination was then included in the KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning Determination of the results of the General Election for President and Vice President, Members of the House of Representatives (DPR), Members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), and Members of Provincial and Regency/City Legislative Councils (DPRDs). In accordance to the KPU Regulation number 3 of 2022, the national vote recapitulation of 2024 was scheduled to begin from February 15th to March 20th. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
