Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. President President Joko Widodo meets with CEO Microsoft Satya Nadella in Istana Negara, Jakarta on Tuesday (4/3/2024). During the meeting, the two discuss Human Resource improvement to the research center.

“We have held a meeting between the President and Microsoft regarding human resource and building research centers. And also building digital talent in the AI sector,” said the Minister of Communication and Informatics Budi Arie Setiadi after the meeting.

CEO Satya, says Budi, states that Microsoft will invest in Indonesia for the next four years in AI and cloud infrastructures, and will train 840,000 people.

“We have collaborated for 29 years. And they will produce 840,000 AI digital talent for Indonesia within four years, which means 210,000 per year," said Minister Budi.

Moreover, there are support for developer communities developing in Indonesia, such as “AI Odyssey” program that could reach 10,000 developers with Microsoft credentials.
