Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. President Joko Widodo considers the government capabilities in procuring advanced health equipment to various regional health facilities must be balanced with the provision of adequate room.

“I am now visiting hospitals not because I am sick. I am now visiting Regional Public Hospital, Central Government Hospital, Provincial Hospital, Regency/City Hospital to see its capabilities and preparation,” says Jokowi on Wednesday (4/24/2024).

Jokowi wants to make sure that Indonesia’s health facilities have received adequate equipment from the health ministry.

The health equipments are Ultrasound (USG) to early detect abnormalities in pregnant women, mammograms for breast x-rays, CT scans to monitor internal structures in parts of the body, cath labs as a room for heart catheterization procedures, and electrocardiography (EKG) for diagnostics of heart function.

“Some of those that I had mentioned have been available. But I saw that the room is not suitable yet for the equipment. The equipment cost us millions, yet the room for them are not even worth it yet,” conclude Jokowi.
