"There have indeed been reports that the Smart Airplane was shot by the KKB just as it was about to land, but until now there has been no complete report due to communication difficulties," said Vice Chief of the Papua Regional Police to Antara, Tuesday (18/7/23). It is known that the KKB also attacked security forces from the Homeyo Sector Police and K Military Headquarters at the ward Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, Sunday (16/7/23) at around 07.00 WIT. Chief of the Public Relations Department of the Papua Regional Police, Police Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, said the shooting incident had occurred for approximately 2 hours. Then, the KKB allegedly shifted to Kampung Bilai. "In the shooting action there were no casualties either from the TNI-Polri or from the KKB," said Police Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady.
