inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The case of the death of Brigadier Nurhadi, a member of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police's Security and Profession Division who was found dead on Gili Trawangan, is now beginning to shed light.
The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) commended the decisive steps taken by the NTB Regional Police, from the ethics hearing to the criminal proceedings, which have now entered the first stage at the Prosecutor's Office.
According to Kompolnas Commissioner, Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo, the handling of this case demonstrates the NTB Regional Police's commitment to maintaining institutional accountability and upholding the principles of justice.
"We are closely monitoring the development of this case and see that the NTB Regional Police have carried out the law enforcement process professionally and proportionally. The ethics hearing for the personnel involved has been conducted, and the result was a dishonorable discharge (PTDH), which demonstrates the institution's firmness in dealing with serious violations," said Arief Wicaksono on Friday (7/12/2025).
These steps are also reinforced by the follow-up to the criminal proceedings, which have now entered the first stage at the Prosecutor's Office. This, according to Kompolnas, confirms that there was no attempt to cover up and that the legal process was running as it should.
Previously, the death of Brigadier Nurhadi had drawn public attention after several irregularities were discovered in the initial handling of the case. However, the swift action taken by the Security and Profession Division and the Criminal Investigation Directorate of NTB Regional Police in enforcing the code of ethics and conducting an investigation has brought clarity and demonstrated institutional accountability.
