The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to security officials to remain neutral ahead of the election voting day on February 14th, 2024. “We remind all KPK members, ASN, and all government officials to maintain neutrality in your daily life by avoiding any actions that implied your support to one of the candidates,” said the Vice Head of KPK Nurul Ghufron on Thursday (2/8/2024). According to Nurul, neutrality in elections is part of the responsibility and commitment of government officials in ensuring the election goes fair and just. He also urged the general public to cast their vote on February 14th, 2024. Previously, the Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo stressed all state officials to remain neutral in the 2024 General Election. The President also implores members of the General Election Commission and Election Supervisory Body to be professional in work and maintain the election integrity. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
