inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Ahead of the coming of Pope Francis to Indonesia on September 3rd, the media is enthusiastic in covering his visit to the biggest Muslim population in the world.
Reportedly, there are 723 registered media journalists to cover his visit, with 88 of them will cover his visit, starting from his departure from Roma, Italy, to Indonesia.
“The other 635 journalists are local media that are accredited in Indonesia,” says the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Pope's Visit to Indonesia, Dr Ignasius Jonan on Thursday (8/29/2024).
In his statement, he reveals media enthusiasm is high to cover the Pope's visit to Indonesia as it is a historic moment for the Catholics in Indonesia.
“This is a valuable experience for Catholics in Indonesia,” notes Ignasius.
Furthermore, he also ensures that currently preparations for Pope Francis' Apostolic Visit to Indonesia are proceeding according to plan, including the preparation of a special health team for the number one person in the Vatican.
