Jakarta - Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General of Police, Fadil Imran, said there were attacks on members while carrying out their duties. This incident occurred on Monday (7/12) around 00.30 WIB on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, precisely at KM50. "Starting from an investigation into the presence of a group of MRS followers who would come to the Metro Jaya Regional Police during the second investigation," said Fadil in his statement, Monday (7/12). The investigation was carried out by its members, because news circulated on social media that a large number of Rizieq Shihab's mass was escorting for examination at the second summons regarding the event in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. "Circulating on social media there will be a large group of MRS followers who will escort the examination in large numbers so that an investigation is carried out against the group," said Fadil. When the officers followed the car of the mass group, suddenly their car was caught by two cars from the mob at the scene. "While on the toll road following the follower's vehicle, the officer 's vehicle was intercepted and stopped by the 2 (two) vehicles of the followers, then carried out the attack by pointing firearms and sharp weapons in the form of samurai and sickles at the members," said the former East Java Regional Police Chief. Considered dangerous, finally the members took decisive action that resulted in the death of six people. "Because it would endanger the safety of the life of the officers at that time, then the officers took firm and measured actions which resulted in 6 attackers dying and 4 people running away," explained Fadil. Due to the incident, officers suffered material losses such as a vehicle that was hit and a gunshot was shot at the scene. With this incident, this two-star general appealed to Rizieq to be able to fulfill the second summons. "We appeal to the MRS to fulfill the investigator's summons in the context of investigation. If they do not heed the investigator's summons, the officers will take action in accordance with the applicable provisions," said Fadil. Fadil emphasized that if anyone tries to deter investigators from carrying out investigations. So, his party will take firm action. "Furthermore, so that the MRS and its followers do not obstruct every step of the investigation, because it is a criminal act, and whoever obstructs the officers we will act strictly according to the rules," said Fadil.
