inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu'ti , said that the free nutritious meal program is an effort to build character and quality of the next generation. This was conveyed by Mu'ti when reviewing free nutritious meals in several schools in Sidoarjo, East Java.
"Through this program, we want to really ensure that this program is not only providing healthy and nutritious food, but also a momentum to build a strong and noble character in students," he said on Monday (11/18/2024).
According to him, this program also forms the character of students who have a sense of responsibility. As well as instilling a culture of order, tolerance, and togetherness.
"There are several schools that implement a buffet serving pattern, so that students are accustomed to washing their own plates. They are also orderly in taking food, tolerant of other friends, and only taking enough food," he explained.
He further said that as an integration of this free nutritious meal program, in December, the Ministry of Education and Culture will launch a program of seven great children's habits. Among them, waking up early, praying, exercising, eating healthy and nutritious food, loving to learn, being in society, and sleeping on time.
"We all see, the day starts from sunrise and ends at sunset. Therefore, you and your family will be part of our efforts in instilling the character of your children," he said.
He also mentioned that later with these seven habits there will be good communication between parents and schools. This should be a shared concern.
Abdul Mu'ti also advised students to always get used to eating healthy, nutritious and halal. He also said to eat without rushing, eat patiently, and enjoy.
"Hopefully this support will be an example or inspiration for other agencies throughout Indonesia. This effort is our commitment to create a young generation that is healthy and has good character," said Sukadiono.
