Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, convened various ministries and relevant agencies  on Friday (10/5/2024) to ensure preparations for the upcoming 10th World Water Forum, the largest water-focused event globally.

Representatives from key ministries and agencies, including Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Environment and Forestry, National Development Planning, Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), National Disaster Management Agency, Network of Asian River Basin Organization (Narbo), and Youth, attended the meeting.

"A week before the 10th World Water Forum, let's ensure all preparations are in control, and Indonesia is fully prepared to host this significant event," Minister Basuki  said during the Coordination Meeting held at his ministry.

Minister Basuki mentioned  his meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, to review the preparation of the forum's opening ceremony scheduled for 10 to 25 May 2024.

Both made sure that meticulous preparations are made, acknowledging the forum's role in bolstering Indonesia's regional and global standing in addressing water-related challenges.
