Inp.polri.go.id - Kediri. The Immigration Office of Kediri in East Java deported a Sri Lankan mother, NJMA (21), and her 17-month-old baby, NN, for violating Indonesian immigration laws.

Denny Irawan, the Head of the Immigration Office of Kediri, explained on Friday (10/5/2024) that the mother, identified as NJMA (21) , has a limited family reunion residence permit while the baby, identified as 17-month-old NN, lacks immigration documentation.

The mother, who is married to an Indonesian citizen and previously lived in nearby Nganjuk, failed to report her change in status after giving birth in Indonesia.

The deportation order was executed through Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta.

The Immigration Office of Kediri has previously deported a Pakistani national, JHR, for providing false information in his residence permit extension application.

The Kediri Immigration Office urged all foreign nationals to comply with immigration and societal laws. Currently, 504 foreign nationals reside in its jurisdiction, participating in work and education.
