inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Politics and Security (Menkopolkam) Budi Gunawan did not deny that there were disturbances during voting in several regions. This was conveyed after monitoring the implementation of regional elections in all regions by the Chief of Police, TNI Commander, and related ministers.
However, according to Budi, the Indonesian Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) have handled the disturbances well.
"Several regions have indeed experienced security disturbances and have been resolved by TNI-Polri officers. We believe everything will be completed according to the specified target," said Minister Budi at the Medan Merdeka Security Post, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/27/2024).
According to Budi, reinforcement in vulnerable areas has previously been carried out. Several areas need to be reinforced due to escalation or natural disasters, such as volcanic eruptions, landslides and floods.
"According to our monitoring, simultaneous regional elections are mostly running smoothly, safely and peacefully," said Minister Budi.
