inp.polri.go.id - Makassar. The Head of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Inspector-General, Nana Sujana, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, the Deputy Chief of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Chuzaini Patoppoi, and the South Sulawesi Regional Police's High-Rank Executives monitored the Christmas celebrations in Makassar. The churches they visited together were the Maria Ratu Tosari Parish Catholic Church and the YHS Makassar Church on G. Latimojong street, Saturday (12/25/21). The group was seen monitoring and checking the readiness of security in churches. As a result, it was seen that the combination of the National Armed Forces and National Police secured the church so that the Christmas worshipers felt comfortable and safe in carrying out the 2021 Christmas service. "We urge the public, let us jointly oversee this Christmas and New Year so that we can create a peaceful Christmas and show a harmony between followers of our religions," explained the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief. The Two-Star General also appreciated the congregation and the organising committee for the Christmas worship who implemented the Health Protocol in carrying out their worship. The South Sulawesi Regional Police have held a Candle Operation in 2021, which will be carried out for ten days starting from December 24, 2021 - January 2, 2022. This Candle Operation will ensure safety and comfort, inadequately carrying out mass and implementing health protocols.
