Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The body of theowner of a shop-house was found encased in concrete in a drainage channel behind his property in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (26/2/2025) after being reported missing for a week.
East Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Nicolas Ary Lilipaly explained that the victim, identified as JS, had visited the premises on 16 February 2025 to inspect a renovation project.
He confronted suspect ZA (35), a worker at the site, over alleged theft by employees. The argument escalated when victim JS slapped suspect ZA, prompting him to strike the shop owner with a stone, leading to his death.
“After ensuring the victim had died, the suspect panicked and hid the body in the drainage channel, covering it with concrete and bricks,” Chief Nicolas said, as reported by antaranews.com.
Police, assisted by firefighters and forensic teams, retrieved the body for further investigation.
