Ngurah Rai Immigration Questions Seven Foreigners Over Prostitution Allegations

Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. Immigration officers at Ngurah Rai, Bali, has been investigating seven foreign citizens suspected of involvement in prostitution following a recent operation monitoring foreigners in the area.

"Of the seven foreigners, two were detained at a boarding house, and five others at a villa," said Suhendra, the Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration, on Monday (14/10/2024).

The women, from six different countries, were detained during the “Jagratara” operation, conducted from 7 to 9 October 2024. Evidence gathered includes messaging app conversations and contraceptives. Reports show that the Ugandan suspects charged $300, while others set rates as high as Rp6.5 million.

Suhendra added, "Two of the suspects have already been deported to Belarus and Brazil."

The remaining five are currently being held at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center while further investigations continue.
