Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) has not received any request to assist in the investigation into the death of Ministry of Foreign Affairs diplomat Arya Daru Pangayunan, a case that has sparked public attention.
TNI Head of Information Center Major General Kristomei Sianturi confirmed on Monday (26/8/2025) that no formal or informal approach has been made.
“Until this moment, the TNI Commander has not received any information, either officially or verbally,” he said, as reported by antaranews.com.
Chief Kristomei emphasized that the military is ready to help if ordered.
“As soldiers, we are sworn not to disobey orders. Whatever assistance the TNI can provide, we will deliver,” he added.
Chief Kristomei noted, however, that any involvement would depend on the scope of assistance required, as the investigation currently remains under police jurisdiction.
His statement followed the family’s appeal to President Prabowo Subianto to involve the police, military, and foreign ministry in clarifying Arya’s death.
Police have so far ruled out foul play.
