Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The North Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police prioritized protection for children in conflict with the law, whether as victims or offenders.

“We aim to safeguard their futures,” said North Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan on Tuesday (27/8/2024), emphasizing the need for collaboration with all parties to address these issues effectively.

He underscored the importance of addressing child and women-related cases swiftly.

For child victims, the focus is on psychological recovery, trauma healing, and medical check-ups.

 “For offenders, forensic psychology helps understand their backgrounds,” Chief Gidion added.

He stressed preventive measures, including intensive education and community engagement through facilities like Integrated Child-Friendly Public Spaces (RPTRA).

The police organized a focus group discussion (FGD) to enhance institutional capacity for child protection, aiming for a coordinated response to these critical issues.
