North Sulawesi Regional Police Deployed 7,557 Personnel for Election Voting Day Security

Inp.polri.go.id – North Sulawesi. The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Yudhiawan Wibisono led the send-off rally of Assigned Members and ranks for the 2024 General Election Security Operation. The rally was held in front of the HQ and attended by the North Sulawesi Regional Police Vice Head, Inspector General Jan Leonard de Fretes, key officials, and members involved in the polling stations security. “This is part of our main duties as was stated in Law No 2 of 2002, where we are obliged to secure the election that takes place once in every five years. I hope all members could perform their duties excellently,” said Jan quoted from indonesiasatu on Friday (2/9/2024). For the voting and vote counting period, North Sulawesi Regional Police will assigned their 1,945 personnel throughout the province. “In total, there are 7,557 personnel involved in the security operation for 8,240 polling stations across North Sulawesi,” explained Jan. In his remarks, Jan also reminds members to uphold the regulation stated in Law No 2 of 2022 about Indonesian National Police and Police Regulations No 7 of 2022 about Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).
