Inp.polri.go.id – Riau Island. Riau Island Regional Police charged 3,679 personnel for the security of 2024 General Election Voting day and 911 Assigned personnel for 5 regencies and cities. The police chief Inspector General Yan Fitri Halimansyah confirmed that the security of 5,914 polling stations across the province will be secured by 3,679 police personnel, along with hundreds of assigned personnel to five regencies and cities. “The 911 assigned personnel will be spread into five region with 686 of them assigned for Barelang Sub-regional City Police, 150 personnel for Karimun Sub-regional Police, 30 personnel for Natuna Sub-regional Police, 15 personnel for Lingga Sub-regional Police, and 30 personnel for Anambas Island Sub-regional Police,” said Yan Fitri on Friday (2/9/2024). Moreover, the police chief also implores all societal elements to work together in ensuring the election goes safely and smoothly. In his closing remarks, Yan also emphasized to his members to maintain police neutrality in the election and avoid any actions that could violate their commitment. “People are watching our actions, we the high officials and the Election Supervisory Body also watch your actions as we want to make this election go safely, in peace and joyful,” said Yan Fitri.
